Mischief

Mischief

Mischief was my greatest kept secret. The side of me I’d never expose. There was nothing on earth that rivaled the rush I got when I sat down inside Circuit every night, fingers twitching with the need to use hacking to change the world. Mischief lit me on fire and there was nothing that could compare.

Or so I thought.

Brett Maddison burst into my life, hair like honey and dimples deep enough to make any man’s knees weak. It was then I learned the truth. Mischief was no longer the only thing that caused my heart to pulse two beats faster and blood to blaze beneath the surface of my skin.

The feelings I had for Brett knocked me off my course and took me on a rollercoaster of emotions I’d never felt before. It took meeting him to recognize what I’d been missing, and suddenly, Mischief wasn’t the only thing in my life I craved deeply.

For a split second, I thought I’d hit the jackpot in life. I was proven wrong the moment unexplained emails began to flood my inbox and the questions they brought went unanswered.

Then I got my answer.

And everything changed.

Specter

Specter

Two years ago, I joined an organization that was so top secret not even the FBI could locate us.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As a hacker, I teetered on the edge of right and wrong every single day, breaking the law to make the world around me a better place.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I knew how dangerous my work at Circuit was. I knew I could get caught one day and wind up behind bars for the rest of my life.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I didn’t care.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And then the packages started to show up on my doorstep. One after another. Never the same gift twice. Never the same day.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I warned my team, tried to get them to prepare for a takedown. They didn’t seem as concerned as I was to learn my identity as Specter had been compromised.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I prepared for everything.

And then Sage Maddison appeared with one of the packages, snow-white hair and eyes filled with fear.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I was not prepared for her.

Creating Chaos

Creating Chaos

High school senior Gideon Stryker has never been great at blending in. His sexual identity and close friendship with his parents has made him a target for every bully in Hillside High’s student body. With less than a year to graduation, Gideon hopes to lay low and get out unscathed.

In a failed first attempt at blending in, Gideon finds himself seated next to Elliott Oakley the new kid.

Following his mother’s death, Elliott packs his bags and leaves small town Iowa for a fresh start in Durham, North Carolina. Making new friends was not on his agenda but when Gideon sits beside him, a frown on his face, he can’t help but make conversation.

Side by side in Chemistry class, Gideon and Elliott bond over a mutual hatred for teenage torment and a shared love of earning trophies. As the year progresses, their friendship evolves into something unexpected yet welcome. Their new relationship ensures they stick out like a sore thumb but when they’re together, blending in doesn’t seem so important anymore. Together, they have exactly what they need to survive their final months of high school.

Until Elliott’s past makes the journey from Iowa all the way to North Carolina, threatening to destroy their bond. Gideon and Elliott are left to wonder… is love really strong enough?

Alma Underwood Is Not A Kleptomaniac

Alma Underwood Is Not A Kleptomaniac

“You are my greatest find.”

Quirky, big-hearted Alma Underwood has a knack for pocketing the various objects people leave behind at her parents’ small-town motel. From old ticket stubs… to the glue that comes with a toupee, Alma possesses a passion for recusing forgotten treasures—even if nobody else sees it that way.

Her greatest treasure is found, not under a motel bed or stashed inside a drawer, but inside an old, abandoned train car that rests behind her house. After hoisting herself into the train car she’s dubbed Mo, Alma stumbles upon Rumor.

With nothing but a duffle bag and a quilt to keep him warm, it’s crystal clear Rumor Rawlings isn’t just hanging out in the train car for a place to escape.

He’s living in it.

Rumor’s wit and relentless perseverance charm the part of Alma programmed to rescue. Just as she does with all the other treasures she finds… Alma brings him home.

On a quest to find his mother, Rumor is searching for a treasure of his own, and who better to help him find it than her?

Heartfelt and moving, Alma Underwood Is Not A Kleptomaniac explores the emotional layers of teen homelessness, the trouble with foster care, and living with a physical disability.
